Troops Destroy Terrorists Leaders' Dwellings, Kill Many Fighters

Nigerian Army a few days after they neutralized a notorious militia leader in Benue State, has yet again, recorded another feat, as they dealt another huge blow to the bandits terrorizing some parts of Kaduna State. The Nigerian Army reported that about 17 bandits have been killed by its troops during a clearance operation in Damba and Kabarasha villages in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to a statement by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, speaking on the 17 bandits killed, said the operation was conducted by troops of Thunder Strike and Whirl Punch with air support from the Air Component of Operation Gama Aiki, at the bandits’ hideouts.

However, in the course of pursuing the bandits according to the statement, 3 houses and a Church were partially destroyed.

The statement hinted further that the affected buildings have been identified, adding that adequate compensations will be paid to the owners.

It added that “meanwhile, calm has been restored to the area. Few people, who initially fled the area due to fear of bandits’ reprisal attack, have all returned to the community.
