Abuja-Kaduna Highway: Musa Condemns Latest Abduction

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has expressed shock at the spate of attacks and killings of travellers along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, calling on the authorities to put an end to the atrocities.

Ahmed Musa who is not known to shy away from such topics or matters such as this that has seen many Nigerians being slaughtered and kidnapped for ransom by bandits, posted a short video of an alleged bandit attack along the Abuja-Kaduna road (a video which we cannot verify) to speak on the spate of insecurity in the country.

Captioning the video, Ahmed Musa who is the most capped Super Eagles player in history, said:

It’s shocking to see images and videos of these incidents along Abuja/Kaduna roads. These are people going about their normal business most likely seeking daily bread,” he said.

He continued by adding:

Their safety should be of uttermost importance to the government. I, therefore, seek the indulgence of the authorities to please put an end to these atrocities by any means possible so that citizens can go about their normal lives without fear.

This has to stop. It’s absolutely disheartening to say the least,” he added

What Happened Along The Abuja-Kaduna Highway:

A few days ago, it was widely reported that some Bandits who reportedly, returned to the Abuja-Kaduna highway allegedly abducted some travellers.

Some locals near Katari village told journalists that at about 2 pm on Sunday, that the bandits wielding dangerous weapons blocked the Abuja-Kaduna highway for over 60 minutes and went away with some travellers.

A video from the alleged abduction was what was shared by Ahmed Musa on Thursday 25th November 2021, on his official social media page.

Some travellers recounted their ordeal, saying ” when we heard gun shots we quickly made a u -turn until after 2 hours when the the bandits left that we continued our journey. “
