APC Reconciliation: Governor Yari issues death threats to committee

APC Reconciliation: Governor Yari issues death threats to committee
APC Reconciliation: Governor Yari issues death threats to committee

The Governor of Zamfara State, Governor Yari has been caught in a viral video, issuing a death threat to the All Progressives Congress (APC) reconciliation committee members for North-West and the National Chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, saying nobody or committee sent by Adams Oshiomhole should dare come to Zamfara State, as they will not be leaving alive.

Governor Yari who was visibly vexed called the APC Reconciliation Committee set up by Oshiomhole as ‘dirty’ as all they know how to do is to carry out the alleged ‘dirty instructions’ of the APC National Chairman, and the people of Zamfara State do not want to see any of them.

In the video which has gone viral on social media, Governor Yari said he is ready to go to the graveyard tomorrow, lifeless if the APC reconciliation committee for the North-West which is headed by the Governor of Oyo State, Governor Abiola AjimobiĀ  should dare come to Zamfara. He said:

“…what I am saying is, the Committee sent by Oshomhole to come and do the dirty Job, which he resent again, should never dare to come to Zamfara State, as we are ready…including myself to be taken to graveyard tomorrow…

“If he (Oshiomhole) knows that his father and mother born him well, he should send those people”

If you have followed the events in Zamfara State, especially during the APC primaries and aftermath of the whole process, you will understand why Governor Yari has issued such a threat. I mean APC will not be having any candidate in the 2019 general elections across all levels, as they failed to meet the deadline of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline to conduct primaries.

In a related case, the Chairman of the APC reconciliation Committee for North-East, Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura who has since started his peace and reconciliation trip, made a stop in Borno and Yobe State.

Tanko Almakura rounding up his visit in Borno and Yobe where he addressed aggrieved members, described President Muhammadu Buhari:

” A leader that sees no sacrifice is too great to make, who has set standards that would build a greater Nigeria”
He stated that what spices his effort is the emergence of those of them that share his values to support him at the different levels they operate. He noted that if in the cause certain things happen, they would have one conciliation which was that President Muhammadu Buhari was the candidate for the APC in the coming elections and those that believe in him, and are committed to him no sacrifice would be too much to make.

Tanko heading the APC Reconciliation Committee meeting at Borno Government House, Maiduguri, assured all they would tidy their report and ensure the continuation of negotiations and peace building , stating that they would cause dialogue to commence between leaders of the party in the states and seriously aggrieved party members.

He assure them that some of the prayers they have made regarding some of the what happened would be taken care of , stating that those that have found themselves disadvantaged without fault of theirs would be pacified by what every the party considers fair.

He thanked all for the faith and commitment, for their respect to the Committee by coming before the committee and venting out all their grievances, assuring them it was not in vain.

The Governors that seem to be having issues with Oshiomhole are, Governor of Imo State, Governor Rochas Okorocha, Ogun State Governor, whose preferred candidate have dumped the party to another, Governor Amosun and Governor Yari of Zamfara State.
…We wait to see what will happen when and if Governor Abiola AjimobiĀ  visits Zamfara State…

The APC Reconciliation committees set up by APC to look into the crisis, are chaired by six governors, and these are:
Abdullahi Ganduje (South East committee),
Kashim Shettima (South West committee),
Rauf Aregbesola (South-South committee),
Abiola Ajimobi (North West committee),
Ibrahim Geidam (North Central committee), and
Tanko Al-Makura (North East committee).
