Former Ogun State Governor, and Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial zone, Senator Amosun and wife Olufunsho Amosun are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary today.

Senator Amosun and wife Olufunsho Amosun who revealed that they have been married for 30-years, took to social media handle to post a special anniversary message to mark the day.

Olufunsho Amosun taking to her official social media handle on Tuesday 7th September 2021, put up a recent photo of her husband and herself with a series of messages to share the special day with family, friends and her followers.

In one of those messages, she opted for her local dialect, which is the Yoruba language to describe her feelings to her husband, saying:

“Ade Ori Okin HWA Ade ori mi it’s been a blissful 30-year reign of wearing you as a crown on my head. #adeoriokin #ade #mycrown,” she said.

She continued:

“3 decades of love… HWA husband. It seems only like yesterday when I said “I DO”
I still do thank you for being an exemplary, kind and giving husband.

“30 years and still counting…
HWA husband, thank you for 3 decades of unconditional love,” she added.

All her messages to her husband were captions to different photos she posted on her social media page.

Senator Amosun and wife who has been together for 30-years have five children, also a grandchild.

Funso in an interview said her marriage has blissful and blessed and said that she met her husband during her national youth service year.
Born in London, she started her primary school education at St James Norland School in the United Kingdom, returned home to attend Yejide Girls Grammar school in Ibadan (1977 – 1982), from here she progressed to Oyo State College of Arts and Science for her Advanced level education (1983 – 1985) before gaining admission into the University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University where she bagged a BA.ED in English Education.

“For my youth service, I was posted to an information technology firm, where we trained professionals on ICT. Then, my husband was a chartered accountant (still is) and the software programme for accounting was Lotus, which has evolved to Excel. I was versed in information technology despite my degree in English Education. So, when his company requested for training for their professionals, I was the one assigned to go and train them and that was how we met,” she had said about her marriage then.

Her husband, Senator Amosun is yet to share a message on his social media handle to mark the day.
