Badagry Gas leak has prompted the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), to impose a temporary vehicular and human restriction leading to Church gate bridge, which is a suburb of Lagos state.
The restriction due to the Badagry gas leak, was for fear that fast movements especially that of vehicles could ignite fumes from the ongoing natural gas leak around that area and possibly cause an explosion.
The gas leak was reported on Thursday 18th March 2021, on the official Twitter handle of LASTMA.
The statement posted on the handle stated that while movements have been restricted towards that area, officials of the Lagos State Fire Service have been contacted and informed about the incident.
