The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported and confirmed a total of 1139 new COVID-19 cases of the coronavirus and 2 in the country.
According to the daily report by the health agency, the 1139 new COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday 30th December 2021, now put the total number of confirmed cases since the inception of the pandemic to 241,513 confirmed cases and 214,003 as of the number of discharged cases.
The death toll also stands at 3,030 deaths all recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 1139 new cases were reported from 19 states and the distribution of these cases across these states and the federal capital territory, shows the following:

According to the report by NCDC, Thursday’s report includes
41 cases were reported for Akwa Ibom state for 27th (12), 28th (15), and 29th (14) December 2021, and 9 cases were reported for Cross River state for 29th ( and 30th (1) December 2021.
Also, a backlog of confirmed cases from Lagos State from 17th to 29th (321) and 30th (99) December 2021, and 3 states with zero cases reported: Osun, Plateau, and Sokoto.
