The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1303 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus and 15 deaths in Nigeria.
The NCDC, in its daily updates on Tuesday 26th January 2021, reported on its official social media handle that a total of 1303 new cases of the virus were recorded across the country. The new figures which shows that the spread of the virus is not slowing down, has Lagos state, once again, with the highest number of new cases, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the update, the 1303 new cases of the COVID-19, were recorded in 26 states of the federation, including the FCT. The distribution of the 1303 new cases as reported from each state, shows the following:
The report from NCDC, also show that a total of 124,299 cases have so far been confirmed, with 99,276 discharged patients and 1522 deaths recorded as at Tuesday 26th January 2021.
The NCDC also said that their discharges on this same date, also include 542 community recoveries in Lagos State, 103 in Plateau State and 22 in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines.
