Odion Ighalo is to leave Manchester United at the end of January 2021, which is the date is loan contract with the club will expire.

Manager Solskjaer has confirmed the imminent departure of the Nigerian from the club. He is leaving Manchester United after just a few games with them since extending his loan contract in May of 2020. But the likes of Marcos Rojo and out of favour and former second choice goalkeeper, Sergio Romero will be at the club until summer, and the club will not extend their contract.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaking on the players, said: “Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero have contracts until the summer and they’re not going to be extended”.

According to the report by the renowned sports journalist Fabrizio, who first broke the news about Odion Ighalo leaving Manchester United on Friday 8th January 2021, said the Red Devils are still hoping to receive an official bid from Boca Juniors for Marcos Rojo, who has been heavily linked to the club.

Odion Ighalo whose contract was supposed to end in May 2020, saw his contract extended by United after they reached an agreement with Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, which is his parent club before his loan move to the Old Trafford. He will now leave by 31st January 2021 when his £10million loan deal expires.

He will be making is farewell appearance against his former club, Watford on Saturday in the FA Cup.
