Ex-Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Mr Maina, has joined the growing list of prospective Nigerian Politicians eyeing the Nollywood industry, as he dramatically slumped in Court.
This happened on Thursday at the resumption of his trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Mr Maina is being prosecuted on a 12-count charge bordering on money laundering offences.
Mr Maina, before his Nollywood theatrics, was seated in the dock when his lawyer, Anayo Adibe was making submissions before Justice Okon Abang handling his trial.
Before he collapsed, his lawyer was praying the court for an adjournment to enable him to get a record of the proceedings of the court to enable him to prepare for the no-case submission he intends to file on behalf of his client.
Justice Okon Abang then rose and suspended proceedings to allow the court’s health officials, officials of the Correctional Service, and his relations (who were in court) to attend to him.
Mr Maina was later moved out of the court room.
The judge, after waiting for about 30 minutes, has returned to resume proceedings in the case.
