The physically challenged man, who was beaten up by a female soldier in Ibadan on Thursday, has alleged threats to his life and that of his family.
The physically challenged man who was identified Olumuyiwa Bolade Adedeji, while giving an update on the case, posted a photo on his facebook page. The photo shared on Friday 4th December 2020, showed the physically challenged man lying on a hospital bed with a bandaged head and arm, where he captioned the photo saying:
“This is what I get for being a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria:
Calipers broken
2. Severe headache
3. Body pains
And yet Mamman H of Letmauk barracks Mokola is still regarded as an unknown soldier in Nigeria,” he said.
While we cannot substantiate all these, even with the video shared yesterday, of the alleged incident, the physically challenged man, Mr Olumuyiwa Bolade Adedeji said after he reported the case, he has received at least three calls from an unknown caller, warning him and his family not to pass the road in front of one Josabic Nursery and Primary school again.
In the photo, he posted on his Facebook page, and as part of the captions, he said:
“Am in hospital now. Nb I have received 3 threat calls from private number warning me and my family not to pass the road infort of Josabic Nursery and primary School again. I need protection in my country,” he said.
Recall, we first reported here that Olumuyiwa Bolade Adedeji, a physically challenged man was beaten up by a female soldier, at the popular Mokola area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
In his narration of the incident, he said he was beaten up by the female soldier at the popular Mokola area of Ibadan. He alleged that he was beaten up because the female soldier’s child ran across and in front of the vehicle he was driving in and although the child was not hit, he got the beaten of his life.
He said the incident happened on Wednesday, but the female soldier waylaid him in front of the one Josabig Nursery and Primary School Oke Itunnu, Mokola Ibadan. He also alleged that the female soldier and another woman with three other men slapped severally.
The female soldier was identified as ‘Mamman H’ by the name tag on her uniform in the viral social media video.
The Nigerian Army are yet to respond to the allegations since the news got out.
