Troops Neutralise Four Bandits In Jeka Da Rabi Kaduna

In continuation of the sustained offensive against armed bandits and other criminal elements in the country, troops of Operation Accord have killed 4 armed bandits at Jeka Da Rabi area along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

In a statement by the Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche says the operation took place on Wednesday 2 September 2020, along the Jeka Da Rabi road.

Acting on credible intelligence on the movement of bandits from Kachia area, and  Jeka Da Rabi, the troops swiftly mobilized to the scene and laid an ambush, according to the release.

It further said, the troops made contact with the bandits and engaged them with superior firepower thereby neutralizing 4 while others escaped with gun shots wounds.

The statement noted that one AK 47 rifle and 5 rounds of 9mm with a magazine were recovered, while the gallant troops continued to patrols the general area in search of the fleeing bandits.

The Military High Command congratulated the troops for their dexterity and encouraged them to intensify the onslaught against the criminal elements in the country, it added.
