Popular Nigerian record label owner, and Special Assistant on Tourism to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River, Ubi Franklin has shared yet another good news about his aunt, Mrs Ekwele Agube who regained her freedom some weeks back from suspected kidnappers in Calabar.

According to Ubi Franklin, who gave yet another update on the ongoing investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping of Mrs Ekwele Agube, said some suspects have been paraded by the Police in Cross River State.

Ubi Franklin who shared some photos on his official Instagram handle on Thursday 13th August 2020, said the photos are those of the suspected kidnappers who kidnapped his aunt, Mrs Ekwele Agube and allegedly collected money for her release afterwards.

Ubi Franklin taking to his social media, captioned the photos with this statement:

The Cross River State Police Command has paraded six kidnappers who were involved in the kidnapping of Mrs Ekwele Agube on July 4 in Calabar.

The six kidnappers, seated at the front row, kept Mrs Agube in captivity for 14 days before her release on July 18.

Mrs. Agube is the wife of Hon. Justice Ignatius Agube of the Appeal Court, Enugu.

Investigation revealed that the kidnappers were members of various cult groups.

The kidnappers admitted to the crime while speaking with newsmen.

Their names are…

Nse Nse Otu Bassey, a.ka. the Lion, the gang leader, 30 years

Edet Ene, 29 years

Christopher Effaeyo, 28 years

Bassey Effiong, a.ka. dragon, 30 years

Etim Offiong, 30 years

Louis Otu Bassey 35 years.

The latest development is coming just a few days after the Nigerian music executive, who had made a post saying he was in a joyous mood as he revealed his aunt, who was kidnapped in Calabar, has finally regained her freedom.

Ubi had posted a photo of the aunt in question, whom he described as his second mum, where he had captioned the photo with:

“Thank you Lord For my Second Mummy’s Life

She regained her freedom. Only God can Do This“ 

Ubi then urged his followers to be cautious as they go about their daily activities. “I woke up this morning to very exciting news. My aunt who was kidnapped two weeks ago regained her freedom after ransom was paid early in the week in Calabar. Please stay safe and be courteous. Thank you God,” his post read.
