Former NBA star, Daniel Gibson and his ex, and singer, Keyshia Cole have finally reached a deal with their divorce, after years of trying.
Both Daniel Gibson and Keyshia Cole got married in 2011 and separated in 2014, but this was never revealed until 2017 when she filed for a divorce from the ex-NBA star. She had cited irreconcilable differences for the split.
In their settlement, both Keyshia Daniel Gibson said the settlement will cover the division of their marital property, custody and support.
The latest development, is a piece of good news for the two, especially for Keyshia Cole who had wanted the divorce case to be done with, after going back and forth with Daniel Gibson with the settlement.
A judge presiding over the divorce had last year, ordered the former couple to show up to court. He was tired of the case being delayed for months and warned them to wrap it up. The documents read “This is your FOURTH AND FINAL NOTICE.” Both had to appear in court or face being hit with a fine.
Keyshia is still facing a separate lawsuit brought by her former landlord.
The singer was sued over an alleged $70,000 in damages to a rental home. Her former landlord claimed Keyshia breached the lease, “by causing extensive damage to the Property which rendered it unrentable and which caused substantial damages in form of repair costs by Plaintiff in the total sum of not less than $69,925.49, for the damages and repair work, as more fully set forth and itemized on the statement.” The case is ongoing.
Meanwhile, Keyshia Cole who is rumoured to be broken up with her new man, Niko Khale, after they both welcomed their first child together last year August, is yet to make an official statement on the latest development, as we wait to see her reaction.
