COVID-19: NCDC Reports 304 New Cases As Total Now 43,841

NCDC Confirms 196 New Cases Of COVID-19 As Total Hit 1728

The total number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Nigeria as at Sunday 2nd August 2020, is put at 43,841 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). This figure was reported by the centre, while also confirming 304 new cases of the virus on Sunday.

According to the statement posted on the official social media handle of the NCDC, as at Sunday 2nd August 2020, the centre reported 304 new cases across some states. The 304 new cases, were recorded in 15 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The distribution of the 304 new cases across states, shows the following:

Cross River-13
Ebonyi-12
Ondo-12
Ekiti-11

Benue-10
Nasarawa-10

The NCDC on their official social media handle reported that while a total of 43,841 cases has so far been recorded in Nigeria, 20,308 discharged 888 and deaths reported as on Sunday.
