The ex-boyfriend to Nicki Minaj, Safaree Samuels and his “Love & Hip Hop” wife Erica Mena have welcomed their newborn, a baby girl.
Safaree Samuels who could not hide his joy on the arrival of their baby, made a post on his social media announcing the good news, where he revealed he was in the delivery room instead of watching the San Francisco 49ers lose the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
He later posted the very first picture of their sweet baby girl on Monday and said he was proud to join the exclusive club that the late Kobe Bryant made famous, #girldad.
Safaree Samuels got hit with a double whammy after Erica Mena’s water broke because not only did he miss the Super Bowl, but he also had to skip out on an appearance he was scheduled to make in Rhode Island. Posting to his Instagram story on Monday morning, the rapper apologized to everyone who came out last night. “Sorry to everyone who came out to see me in Rhoade Island last night,” he wrote, “but as I was getting ready to leave my wife’s water broke.
He then posted the first snap of their daughter by sharing their iconic hand-holding moment in the delivery room. Posting a photo showing nothing but his daughter with Erica Mena’s little hands hanging tightly onto her daddy’s finger, Safaree Samuels captioned the angelic photo,
“These pass 24 hrs have been an adventure to say the least!!” Expressing his excitement over their little bundle of joy, he added, “I’m a part of the #girldad club now 🙏🏾. Perfection is here ❤️.”
The family have been getting congratulatory messages since they broke the news of the arrival of their newborn on Monday, especially Safaree Samuel’s friends in the music industry.
Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena announced they were expecting in October 2019 shortly after getting married.
