A few days after it announced the killing of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, who until his death was the leader of the dreaded terrorist group, ISIS, the United States of America has announced that it will be hosting a Ministerial meeting of Global Coalition to discuss how to defeat ISIS’s small group.

The White House which released the details of the Global Coalition meeting on Monday 28th October 2019, stated that the meeting will take by in November 14th 2019 in Washington, D.C and will be hosted by the U.S Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo.

The meeting will discuss and review the next steps in the joint campaign to achieve the defeat of ISIS, the White House had stated.

“U.S. Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo looks forward to hosting the Foreign Ministers of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS for an extraordinary meeting on November 14 in Washington, D.C. to review next steps in the joint campaign to achieve the enduring defeat of ISIS. The D-ISIS Coalition remains vitally important to our efforts and our commitment, as a Coalition, to this effort, remains unwavering.

Ministers will meet for strategy discussions on the continued fight against ISIS in the post-liberation era and following the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, with a particular focus on recent developments in northeast Syria and their relationship to stability and security of the region.

The United States is determined to prevent a resurgence of ISIS in Syria and Iraq and continues to work with the Global Coalition to destroy ISIS remnants and thwart its global ambitions” the White House statement stated.
