The Governor Ogun State, Governor Abiodun on Friday 31st January 2020, at the 28th and 29th Convocation Ceremony of the Olabisi Onabanjo University(OOU), Ago-Iwoye Ogun State, offered automatic employment into the Ogun State Civil Service to one Ajayi Jesulayomi Opeyemi and Chinozor Justice who were the best graduating students from the convocation.
Governor Abiodun while speaking at the convocation, urged all graduating students of OOU to be aware that it is not only their certificates but also employable skills, expertise and technical competence that the University has equipped them with, and they need to make the State and Country proud with these on the international scene.
“We will continue to support the Institution on fostering a good relationship between the University and its host community, digitising its operations, improving its academic programmes and infrastructure, as we have done with the approval of the rehabilitation of its internal roads” he added.
The Convocation was graced by Prof. Olusola Akinrinade, Provost, Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria. Also present were the Hon. Minister of Finance, Budget and Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle and Major General Sansadeen Awosanya, all of whom were awarded honorary doctorate degrees.
