Rotimi Akinosho Reveals He Bought A Penthouse In Ikoyi For Birthday

Hollywood actor, Rotimi Akinosho has revealed to his fans on social media that he bought a penthouse in Ikoyi Lagos, Nigeria, as a birthday gift to himself.

The actor who plays the popular character Andre Coleman on Starz TV drama, Power, taking to his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, said he bought the house to celebrate his 31st birthday. Although he did not make mention of how much it cost him to get the penthouse, or pictures of the penthouse, but given the location, it must have cost hundreds of millions of naira, even though he is said to be worth $1million.

Rotimi Akinosho just like every other Nigerian in his position would do, is clearly investing his earnings on properties both in Nigeria and in the United States, as he stated this on his social media message revealing the gift he bought himself on his birthday.

This was his tweet on Wednesday morning announcing that he bought a penthouse:

“As a Bday gift to myself. I bought a penthouse in one of the most prime locations in Lagos w/ no mortgage (ikoyi) full on paid for. Its important we know the value of real estate & legacy money. #InvestInYourSelf”.

This will be his second home, after he built himself a lovely home at his base in the United States.

The actor who recently went public with his relationship to Tanzanian songstress, Vanessa, had some months back, granted an interview where he opened up about his father who has been providing him with financial advice, especailly when he got his first acting job.
It was in the interview that he revealed that he is yet to ‘touch’ his earnings from Power, as he has been spending off his endorsement deals, and some other side hustle. He said:

“I made six figures from that deal (Boss). He only gave me 25 or 20 thousand out of it to live off. He saved and invested the rest,” he said about his Father.

“So then, I was starting to get popular. He made me save all my ‘Power’ money. all my ‘Power’ cheques, the contracts, I haven’t touched one dollar. I lived off my endorsement and hostings.

He added that he recently spent out of the proceeds in order to buy his house.
“So I have been sitting on a certain amount of money for five to six years that I haven’t even touched. The first time I touched that money was to buy my house,” he said.

Rotimi Akinosho has clearly planned out his investment over the years, and it is not a surprise he could afford to buy a propery in such an area as Ikoyi!…hopefully he gets one in Tanzania to balacne the equation with our wife to be…lol
