Dubai-based Nigerian billionaire businessman, Raymond Igbalodely who is better known as Ray Hushpuppi has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari asking him to stop ‘oppressing Nigerians’ while also calling the President and the Department of State Services (DSS) ‘shameless’ over the continued detention of Mr Omoyele Sowore and others, despite Court orders.
Raymond Hushpuppi who is popularly known for his flamboyant lifestyle on social media on Saturday 7th November 2019 took to his Instagram account to join other Nigerians to condemn the alleged kidnapping of Mr Omoyele Sowere inside a Courtroom in Abuja, calling the act shameless and Nigerians should resist it.
“Stop oppressing Nigerians, Nigerians let’s stand together against the oppressors,” he said.
He continued by saying:
“I think enough is enough, today I say shame on you and your allies and everybody that surround you and can’t say to you that you are driving the country in the wrong direction, SHAME ON YOU ALL. You have failed us and now you are failing yourself, today I call on Nigerians to not fail themselves and stay strong and impeach these people if possible. Free Sowore and practice true Democracy that we voted you for.”
Ray Hushpuppi also said that it saddens his heart to see that the man that hundreds of millions of Nigerians voted for, thinking that he was going to do good and better their lives, is now turning around to use that same power to oppress them, “beat us, silent us, maltreat us and starve us” He said:
“I remember how all the young and even the old, the hopeless, the poor, the general masses had so much hope in you to change and reshape our country Nigeria for the better, little did we know you and your allies only had plans to use the power we voted you in for was to be used to beat us, silent us, maltreat us and starve us. The worse is this power is only used against people perceived as a strong link to fight for the people” Ray Hushpuppi ended his statement.
The reaction of Ray Hushpuppi is coming just a day after Mr Omoyele Sowore the Revolution Now Convener, and his partner Olawale Bakare were re-arrested by DSS after the security operatives allegedly invading the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The DSS operatives allegedly stormed the Court and in a commando-style, whisked away Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare allegedly on fresh charges.
The actions by the security operatives have since been generating a lot of condemnation around the world, with the President yet to release an official statement responding to the allegation.
