At least six people have been reportedly injured in a shooting at a southern California high school. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said officers were called to Saugus High School in the city of Santa Clarita where the incident happened.
A suspect described as a male Asian believed to be behind the shooting and in black clothing was still at large, the local sheriff said on Twitter.
The school was on lockdown as emergency services flooded the scene, with people pictured being led out of the school.
Five patients two in critical condition have been taken to Henry Mayo Hospital or are on their way, the hospital said on Twitter, with a hashtag referring to the school shooting.
