U.S rapper, Tavares Taylor who goes by the stage name Lil Reese, has been reported to have been shot in the neck by yet to be identified person/persons, as Police says he is currently hospitalized in his home state of Illinois.
According to the Country Club Hills PD, the rapper was shot Monday afternoon about 40 minutes outside of Chicago, as Police were called to the shooting scene where they say they found a car with fresh blood in the driver’s seat and on the ground adjacent to the driver’s door, TMZ report says.
ABC Chicago also confirmed that the Chicago rapper was shot in Chicago this afternoon and in critical condition.
The shooting of Lil Reese reportedly took place between the city’s Pulaski Road and 167th Street, as Police on the scene say witnesses told them someone picked up a wounded man, who was then identified after officers called area hospitals. They also said they were told that male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the neck was being treated at South Suburban Hospital.
The Police are still investigating the Lil Reese shooting, as the story is still developing as at the time of this report.
