The Governor of Kano State, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for the presentation of the Budget 2020 to the joint session of the National Assembly, while commending the legislative arm for their promise to close ties with the executive arm in the coming fiscal year.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in a Press statement released on Tuesday 8th October by his Chief Press Secretary Abba Anwar, assured Nigerians that the budget 2020 would bring more succour to the populace and effective continuation of the good projects, programmes and policies by the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Ganduje acknowledges, with all sense of appreciation and confidence that, the National Assembly would be up and doing to ensure that they work closely together with the executive in the fiscal year. “I sincerely commend them for resolving to have a closer tie with the executive presided over by our amiable President Muhammadu Buhari. This calls for happiness from the part of Nigerians as a whole. This is indeed commendable,” he says.

The governor also reveals that “A day before His Excellency President Buhari goes to the National Assembly, All Progressives Congress (APC) governors were at the legislative House and met with the leadership of the two Chambers. We lobbied for closer ties between the Assembly and the Executive.” Their resolve to see to the implementation of the financial document from January to December in 2020, was another success and encouraging narration, according to the governor. “And we thank then for that,” he appreciates.

And the leadership of the NASS, he posits, displayed that sense of commitment when the budget was presented by President Buhari, adding that “That show of commitment and concern for Nigeria was visible at the National Assembly today” he said.
