The Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested five internet fraud suspects over an alleged case of internet fraud and other fraud-related offences in Kwara State.

The five internet fraud suspects in the statement released by EFCC were arrested in different locations within Ilorin Metropolis, following intelligence reports gathered by the anti-graft agency. It was discovered that the five internet fraud suspects used their phones and laptop computers to communicate with their victims who are majorly foreigners in order to defraud them of their monies.

Investigations by the operatives of the Commission further revealed that the suspects benefited several foreign currencies deposited into their accounts by their victims

The commission gave the names of the suspects as Stephen Odanye, Abolarin Kayode, Babatunde Muhammad, Adepoju Tomiwa and Akinbamidele Femi.

Items recovered from them include phones, cars, documents containing false information among others.

The Suspects will soon be charged to Court.
