Di'ja Drops The Visual For Her New Song, Wuta

Popular Nigerian singer Hadiza Blell who is better known as Di’ja has finally dropped the visuals for her brand new single Wuta, which is one of the four songs she recently released to announce her comeback to the music scene after a brief break.

Other songs from the new EP are Omotena, Wuta, Baby and Te Amo. Three of these songs are love songs, while Wuta is more of a traditional Arewa song.

The snippets of the video which was posted on the official Instagram handle of Mavin and that of Mavin’s President, Don Jazzy himself, started with some beautiful shots from the hustling and bustling from a city in the Northern region, (where are suspecting those scenes are shots from Jos) followed by a girl running towards Di’ja herself who was wrapped in the Northern costume.

Di’ja who seems to have slowed down on her musical career since her marriage and welcoming her child, is returning with an EP mixed with a traditional sound, and although a sound peculiar to the North, the song is already a hit in Nigeria in general.

She has somehow caught many unawares, as her delivery of the song using the Hausa language was so effortlessly done you will fall in love with the track “Wuta” and the language and culture of the people.

The new releases are less of a club anthem as she sang more about love and fire, just like her previous releases. She is showing off her versatility, on the “Wuta” track, with the Arewa instrumental.

Since the release, many have weighed in comparing her new song to the previous ones, with most people asking her to sing more in Arewa and target the Arewa market. All these questions she has given answers to, but if you ask me, I would say more of the Arewa tunes!

We love the song, even though we do not understand the lyrics, the visuals are dope!
