African King of Dance hall, Timaya who is now known as Papi Chulo, has taken his humanitarian work down to his hometown of Bayelsa state, as he distributed relief materials to the victims of recent flood disaster in some parts of Nigeria.

Timaya who a few hours ago shared some of the photos from his visit to Bayelsa state said everyone had fun including himself while carrying out the humanitarian work, which was a private effort by the singer to help ease off some of the stress from the community in which he was raised.

He shared the photo on his social media handle with this caption:

“Yesterday I visited the flood victims in my community in Bayelsa State…Came with some relief items. We ate, drank and laughed…We all had an AWESOME time…❤❤❤Papi Chulo”

The flood disaster did not just happen in Bayelsa State, but most parts of the South-South, South-East, and some parts of the Northern States, with deaths recorded, and properties worth billions of naira lost in the disaster. It is also said that the flood this time around compared to what happened in 2012, was still better as the water level was not as high as that of 2012.

Aside Timaya’s efforts to give relief materials to his community in Bayelsa, the State Government and Federal Government have also visited the flood-hit areas, as both the National Emergency Agency of Nigeria and the Nigerian Air Force have carried out a medical outreach for all victims.

The Vice President, Professor Osinbajo has also gone round all the States affected by this year’s floods to give them assurance as to the readiness of Government to assist them in whatever way possible.
