Reigning US Open and Australian Open Champion, Naomi Osaka has reclaimed her number one spot at the WTA world rankings released on Monday, August 12th 2019.

Naomi Osaka regains the WTA number one spot following her quarterfinal run at last week’s Rogers Cup in Toronto, as she dethrones Australia’s Ashleigh Barty, whose round-of-32 loss in Canada dropped her back to Number 2.

Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic is Number 3, with Simona Halep of Romania and Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands rounding out the top five.

Rogers Cup champion Bianca Andreescu, 19, vaulted from 27th to 14th after becoming the first Canadian woman to win the event in 50 years.

Serena Williams, who withdrew from Sunday’s Rogers Cup final with a back injury, climbed two spots to Number 8.
