Arsenal new signing and now Ex-Chelsea defender, David Luiz sends his former club Chelsea and their fans a farewell note as he moves to the other side of London. The 32-year-old Brazilian whose transfer on a deadline day could be said to be the most shocking of all the transfers, given that no one saw it coming two days ago, and having played in the pre-season for the Blues, thanked his old club for a wonderful time together.

David Luiz who signed for Arsenal for £8million and after spending seven years with Chelsea, and a club where he has had most of his success as a footballer, thanked Chelsea for the beautiful memories, but cannot wait to begin a new chapter at the Emirate with Arsenal.

David Luiz during his seven years at Chelsea, won the UEFA Champions League, two Europa Cup, the English Premier League, FA Cup, and all these I feels he can replicate at his new club, Arsenal.

This was his statement a few hours ago:

“Today is the day when I must thank all the people who were part of my story with @chelseafc !!! These were brilliant years where I always tried to do my best all the time!!! I thank the fans and all the coaches I had during the seven years I represented the club. I thank the medical and technical staff, the kitchen staff, friends who take care of the pitch, my friends from security… LITERALLY everybody! With each one I had a story and built a true friendship!!! I wish a very good luck to this great club!!! I carry all of you in my heart!!! God bless you so much! “
