Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, on Friday 19th July 2019 met with the 2019 Hajj Pilgrims from the State, where he admonished them to be good ambassadors of the State as they embark on the religious exercise in Saudi Arabia.

The Governor who welcomed the Hajj Pilgrims at the Obas’ Complex in Oke Mosan in Abeokuta the State Capital, told the huge gathering to conduct themselves ethically, by obeying the laws of Saudi Arabi in the course of their Hajj activities. He said:

“It is my prayer that the Almighty Allah will grant them a peaceful journey and also make their mission to the holy land a successful one”.

In a related news,  NAN reports that the flight of Hajj pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia for the 2019 Hajj entered its eleventh day on Saturday with 13,107 already in Madinah for the yearly religious exercise.

A statement from the Command and Control Centre of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (HAHCON), disclosed that 27 flights had been carried out in the exercise so far.

The commission said the exercise continued on Saturday with Medview VM 1035 aircraft leaving Kaduna at 4.38 a.m to Jeddah with 428 pilgrims on board.

NAN in Madinah reports that Kano, Katsina and Lagos states whose pilgrims have completed their religious rites in Madinah have been transported to Makkah.

This is to enable such pilgrims to commence another series of rites toward attaining hajj.
