The man known as Lucious Lyon in the popular FOX TV drama series, Terrence Howard risk going to jail alongside his wife, Mira Howard and for a very long time, as reports have it that he is being investigated by the United States Government for a possible criminal tax evasion dating back 11-years.
According to reports, Terrence Howard and his wife who only got to know that they have been under investigation by the Federal tax authorities in May 2019, have been dodging their civil responsibilities since 2006, and the amount is already running into over $2million plus in tax debt.
The actor who sources say he has made some cool cash in his Empire drama series but has failed to pay his taxes is being investigated alongside his third wife, Mira Howard and a company owned by her, Universal Badges Inc.
The criminal case of Terrence Howard, wife Mira and her company, has been opened at the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania as they prepare for a possible hearing in court.
According to reports, Terrence Howard who is on record to have been having tax issues before the latest revelation by tax authorities was hit with a tax lien in April by the State of California Franchise Tax Board for a total $143,538.61. The lien stems from taxes Howard reportedly owes from 2010.
Howard was also hit with tax liens from the federal government back in 2010 for $1.1 million and in 2006 for over $600,000.
Terrence Howard who as a character in Empire does not necessarily enjoy going to Court but love it when judgment goes his way, is reported to have hired himself a very good and high profile lawyer who he believes can help him fight the latest court case that will be hitting yet another member of the Empire Cast, after Jussie Smollett.
This news is coming only a few days after Mrs Howard celebrated her birthday, which was on June 1st…but no statement from the couple yet on this latest development on tax issues.
