Albanian striker, Armando Broja has signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea that will see him be at the club until 2026. The club in a statement on Sunday, confirmed the latest development.
The young striker, who will turn 20 in September, spent last season on loan in the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem, where he made 34 appearances.

His 11 goals helped the Dutch side to a fourth-place finish and the final of the KNVB Cup, in which they were beaten by Ajax, and ensured he finished the campaign as one of the top-scoring teenagers in Europe.

Armando Broja made his senior Chelsea debut in March 2020, coming off the bench in a Premier League encounter with Everton that proved to be the last action before football’s suspension due to Covid-19.

Armando Broja has been on the books with the Blues since the end of his Under-9 season, always playing as an attacker and scoring goals throughout his rise up the ranks at Cobham.

On the international stage, Broja has represented Albania since the Under-16 age group and made his senior debut three days before his 19th birthday last September, in a Nations League game against Lithuania.

He has since collected six caps for the national team and started in a World Cup qualifier against England back in March.

On signing his new contract, Broja said: ‘I am really excited to be signing a new contract with Chelsea. Having come through the Academy here it was a special moment for me to make my first-team debut last year, before gaining further experience on loan at Vitesse last season. I want to build on these foundations and I am really looking forward to progressing and making an impact at Chelsea in the years to come.’
