One of the fake soldiers who allegedly beat up popular Ajegunle musician Babafryo Igweh in Lagos, has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Army Ojo Cantonment.
Babafryo Igweh who had on Monday taken to his social media page to share some gory photos about his experience at the Ojo Army barracks in Lagos, where he claimed that he was humiliated by some unknown soldiers for no just reasons, has this morning given an update on the incident.
The ‘Denge pose’ crooner posted the news on his social media page early on Monday morning, saying he was humiliated by some soldiers at the notorious Ojo military barracks in Lagos. He said during his struggle with the alleged soldiers and him trying to drag them into the Ojo barracks for a possible sanction by their superior officers, a female soldier came to the rescue of her colleagues and aided their escape from the scene.
This was his statement on Monday morning:
“I was humiliated by unknown soldiers I tried forcing them to d barrack a female soldier interfere n allowed them to escape the case is under investigation. Thanks to Ojo army barrack who took d case on their shoulder I pray they ‘ll surely b caught n brought to book,” he had said on Monday.
Babafryo Igweh seems to be the one reporting his own case and also doing the investigation himself, without any official statement from the Nigerian Army confirming or denying the allegation since the news broke out on Monday…I hope we are not missing anything here, even though we know how some of these ‘fake soldiers’ especially those stationed at the Ojo Barracks can be sometimes, I feel there is more to this story.
On Tuesday, the veteran musician took to his Facebook page to post yet another photo of one of the alleged attackers whom he said was apprehended with this caption:
“This is one of the unknown fake soldiers that deliberately beat up our living legend Babafryo Igweh yesterday without a reason,
People need to be very careful these days as there so are many Babylonians posing as soldiers.
I am very proud of the Nigerian Army and OC MP Ojo Cantonment Capt. A.S ATUNWA for his effective investigations and action taken in this matter.
We give thanks to the most high God.
