Hollywood actor and Oscar winner, Rami Malek has officially been confirmed to star as the next James Bond villain, as the James Bond franchise returns with 25th adventure, which will be the last outing for Daniel Craig.

Although the name of the new James Bond film is yet to be released to the public, the cast have been released, with Rami Malek as we have it, will be the James Bond villain, starring alongside Daniel Craig who is also returning, with the likes of Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes.

Cary Fukunaga the director confirmed the news, revealing that Rami Malek would definitely be starring as a villain – telling fans he wouldn’t be giving Bond an easy ride of it.

In a pre-recorded chat with the actor who couldn’t join the cast out in Jamaica, he vowed: ‘I’m very much looking forward to joining the cast and crew so very soon,’ he explained. ‘And I promise you all I will be making sure Mr Bond does not have an easy ride of it in this, his 25th outing…Cheers.’ he said.

Other new faces alongside Rami Malek include Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah and Billy Magnussen, while Rory Kinnear and Jeffrey Wright will also be coming back. While Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be co-writing the script with Cory, Scott Burns, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

Daniel also confirmed this would be his last James Bond film which will be out in 2020, and already there are a lot of those waiting to be the new face of Bond.

The likes of Eddie Redmayne, Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston have all been linked with the role in the past, with Richard Madden the new favourite to slip into the infamous Aston Martin. But it seems like the Bodyguard star has his eye on a different role in the Bond universe.

While we wait for the next James Bond film which has been confirmed will be in 2020, fans will also be looking to see who eventually land the role as the new Bond, after Daniel.
