Barca knocks Man United out of the UEFA Champions League, after beating them 3-0 (4-0 on aggregate) at Camp Nou to qualify for the semifinals.

Manchester United were knocked out of the competition after they suffered a second defeat at their second leg game at the Champions League Quarterfinals at Camp Nou. Again, it was Lionel Messi’s brace and Philippe Coutinho wonder goal that powered Barcelona into the Semifinals over the English team.

Lionel Messi who really did not do much in the first leg at Old Trafford, was on Tuesday night, in his element, as the Argentine found the back of the net twice in a span of four minutes. In the first half, the first in trademark Messi style with a great left-footed strike, and the second courtesy of a howler from United goalkeeper David De Gea.

Philippe Coutinho took his own also, netting a wonder to give the Manchester United fans a reminder of his Liverpool days, but most importantly send a message to Barca fans who have been on his neck since his big-money move from Liverpool.

At the start of Tuesday’s game at Camp Nou, United came storming out of the gates and Marcos Rashford nearly pulled the Premier League side level inside the first minute, only to see his shot hit the crossbar. Barcelona thought they caught an early break when Ivan Rakitic went down in the area and a penalty was called, but VAR said otherwise and referee Felix Brych took away the spot-kick for the hosts.

The game was what fans expected as it all ended 4-0 on aggregate in favour of Messi and Barca, who will now face either Liverpool or Porto in the Semifinals.
