Breaking: Another building collapses in Oke Arin area of Lagos Island

Barely a week after a 4-storey building collapsed in the Ita Faji of Lagos Island killing mostly school children, and injuring many, another building has been reported to have caved in at Oke Arin Lagos Island.

This is the second building that will collapse in the Mega City. Although no confirmation as to the report of casualties, the first building that collapsed recorded about 12 death and over 40 persons injured. It will also be good to note that the Lagos State Government after the unfortunate incident at the Ita Faaji area of Lagos Island, immediately directed its agency to commenced the immediate demolition of buildings suspected to be in danger of collapsing in the area and the entire State

This new development is just unfortunate, as this happened before the demolition squad could reach the Oke Arin location, as the building was one of such already marked for demolition.

According to the report, the latest building collapse happened at number 57, Egerton Square, Oke Arin, Lagos Island and atleast four persons have so far been rescued.
