The official vehicle of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) LT Gen TY Buratai was involved in an accident at Jere town along Kaduna road on Sunday evening, around 6:pm, but the COAS was not in the vehicle when the incident happened.
According to the statement released a few hours ago by the Nigerian Army, the staff car was in a convoy along with other vehicles when a lone civilian vehicle veered off its lane and rammed into the car.
We do not know if the incident was a deliberate one or just a mere accident, as information released did not give details of what might have caused the civilian vehicle to veered off and hit a convoy of the COAS LT Gen TY Buratai , but it was reported that the ADC to the COAS LT Gen TY Buratai who was in the vehicle sustained some minor injuries and has since been evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
