Army Approves New Posting And Appointments Of Senior Officers

The official vehicle of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) LT Gen TY Buratai was involved in an accident at Jere town  along Kaduna road on Sunday evening, around 6:pm, but the COAS was not in the vehicle when the incident happened.

According to the statement released a few hours ago by the Nigerian Army, the staff car was in a convoy along with other vehicles when a lone civilian vehicle veered off its lane and rammed into the car.

We do not know if the incident was a deliberate one or just a mere accident, as information released did not give details of what might have caused the civilian vehicle to veered off and hit a convoy of the COAS LT Gen TY Buratai , but it was reported that the ADC to the COAS LT Gen TY Buratai who was in the vehicle sustained some minor injuries and has since been evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

…investigation are still ongoing as to what might have caused the accident, as the Nigerian Army released some photos from the accident scene with this statement:

The COAS’ official staff car had an accident at Jere town on the way to Kaduna today 11 November 2018 at about 6.00 p.m. The staff car was in a convoy along with other vehicles when a lone civilian vehicle veered off its lane and rammed into the staff car.

The COAS was not in the car. However, the ADC sustained minor injuries and has been evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention. This is for your information please. Pictures below.
