Former Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally opened up on his surprising departure from Real Madrid, after almost a decade at the Spanish club, saying Florentino Perez is only after money and business and not building relationship or care about how other people feel.
The Portuguese forward who won virtually everything at Real Madrid said the club President Florentino Perez was all about money and business, and never for a day cared about his feelings, but just business partner.
Although he has struggled since leaving, but Real Madrid have struggled more, with Florentino Perez now desperately in need of a new manager at the club.
Ronaldo while granting an interview to France Football Magazine, said he was never treated like human, saying:
“Florentino Perez never looked at me in any way other than as part of a business relationship,” said Ronaldo.”The things he told me, he never said from the heart.”
“I achieved many good things at Real Madrid and had many incredible moments with very valuable teammates that I will always remember.”I will also always remember the fans, but I think that after nine years there it was time for a change and time to move clubs.
I felt inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer considered me the same way that they did in the start.” The president looked at me as if I was no longer indispensable to them.”
On whether his move was more financially motivated, he said Juventus were more willing and interested to have him at their club.
“If it had all been about money, I’d have moved to China, where I would have earned five times as much as here or at Real Madrid,”
“I did not come to Juventus for the money. “I earned the same in Madrid, if not more.”The difference is that, at Juventus, they really wanted me. “They told me that and made it clear. “They showed me how much they wanted to have me here.”
