Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho’s brace against Fleetwood Town in the English FA cup, made him the first player in England to be awarded a goal via the Video Assistant Referee.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria player, who has struggled to make the first team since joining from Manchester City, started the game as he scored the goals that has taken Leicester City to the next round of the competition.
The second goal was a bit controversial, as Kelechi Iheanacho was initially adjudged to be offside by the assistant Referee on the lines, when he got a through pass from his team mate Mahrez .But after a second look from the centre Referee through the VAR, Kelechi was awarded the goal, as the video showed he was in line with the last defender when he received the ball from Mahrez.
