Ambode on Sunday, gave a world press conference on his ambition to recontest the Governorship seat of Lagos state and some of the issues allegedly raised by Govenor Akinwunmi Ambode in his press conference, has been picked up by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the opposition party applauded some of the points, especially the alleged statement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) being a party of fraudsters.
The PDP while reacting to the world press conference by the embattled Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, said the Party has reviewed the world press conference, by the Lagos State Governor and Ambode has confirmed their earlier position about the APC.
The PDP statement released a few hours ago reads:
” We have summarised the world press conference by Governor Ambode, and the governor validated our position that the failed
APC consists of fraudsters and election riggers.
Akinwunmi Ambode had in his press conference stated that his opponent in the Governorship race, Babajide Sanwoolu, was arrested for spending fake dollars in the US, and that he was also detained in the USA on account of the alleged crime.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode further alleged that his party APC
was disenfranchising its members by insisting that registered members of the party, who were yet to be issued with membership cards, will not be allowed to participate in the gubernatorial primary election.
By this, the whole world can see that the APC is nothing but a den of fraudsters and corrupt persons who only cheated to power through lies and propaganda in 2015 but have also continued to bleed and defraud our nation with humongous sleazes and massive corruption in very high places.
This is why the APC will have no scrupus to protect persons of questionable character and those with allegations of corruption hanging on the necks as the National Chairman and governorship aspirant.
We challenge President Muhammadu Buhari to show his claimed integrity by ordering an open investigation into this huge allegation against his party’s governorship aspirant.
Finally the PDP calls on Lagosians and indeed all Nigerians to note this urgly trend in the APC And ensure that they throw this undesirable party to the dustbin of history come 2019.
