Osogbo has in the last few days, been a beehive of political activities and nothing seem to be slowing down anytime soon, as a few hours ago, President Muhammadu Buhari and Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Comrade Adams Oshiomohle stormed the South West State for their mega rally in the State capital.
President Muhammadu Buhari before heading for Osogbo for the APC Mega rally made a stop in Oyo State capital Ibadan where he was received by Governor Ajumobi and APC National Assembly members at the Airport. He [President Muhammadu Buhari] was in the company of APC National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomohle and other APC stakeholders in Oyo State.
The President who drove from Ibadan to Osun Osogbo was received by APC stakeholders and Governor of the State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and APC Governorship aspirant for the September 22nd, 2018 Gubernatorial election in Osun state, Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola.
President Muhammad Buhari is in Osogbo to give his party the needed support, as APC National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomohle will be looking to replicate his party’s electoral victory a few weeks ago in Ekiti, also in Osun State. They are hoping for a win, so as to cement their hold on the entire South West going into 2019 general elections and having won Ekiti which hitherto was under the control of PDP.
Some of the Governors and political aspirants of the APC are all present in Osogbo, even the political godfather in the South West and National Leader of the party, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also in Osogbo for the mega rally.
It is going to be a tough one for the APC, as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Adeleke with his nephew Davido and children, already taken over the state and campaigning for their uncle and father, the race to the Government House come Saturday will be an interesting one.
APC is now in Osun, to match them crowd for crowd, with the planned mega rally..
