Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has condemned the fresh attack in his state, where some alleged herdsmen in Barkin Ladi area of the State were alleged to have slaughtered a pastor and his entire family.

The fresh attack in Plateau State comes after some relative peace, and the Tuesday and Wednesday attacks as reported, took place at the  Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateaue State by alleged herdsmen.

The attackers were said to have murdered a resident Pastor of Church of Christ in Nation, COCIN, LCC Abonong, Foron District, whose name was given as  Rev. Adamu Wurim, his wife and three children were among those killed Tuesday night.

Also, the killings and razing of houses were said to have continued up to the mornings of Wednesday the following day, and many death allegedly recorded aside the death of the pastor and his family.

The Governor of Plateaue State, a few minutes ago while reacting to the news, took to his social media page to express condemnation and sadness, saying:

“It breaks my heart that just as we are exploring all available avenues to strengthen the peace process already embarked on in our dear State, enemies of peace and progress have struck again” He continued with:

“Communities in Foron district of Barkin Ladi ; Abonong and Zayit, my heart goes out to you and all our loved ones affected yet again by the callousness of agents of destruction.
These nights and dark days will not last forever with God on our side.
I assure you, we are not resting on our oars to find an end to this madness and bring the hudlums responsible, to justice.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.”

The fresh attack in Plateau State took place at the  Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, where the pastor and members of his family were said to have been killed and later  burnt to death together with their house, as the rampaging assailants razed properties, including the COCIN church and the pastor’s residence.

Also, it was also reported that no fewer than 10 persons were killed the in Barkin Ladi attacks between Tuesday and Wednesday, as the community that have hitherto enjoyed some peace, were awakened to the realization that all might not be over after all.
