State House a few hours ago, released a statement saying President Muhammadu Buhari will this afternoon, welcome British Prime Minister Theresa May to Nigeria.

According to State House, President Buhari will welcome Theresa May after which the two leaders will hold a discussion centering on many issues, as well as the signing of vital defence and economic agreements involving Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

The British Prime Minister is a good friend of Nigeria, and the State House is ready and prepared to welcome the British delegates to the State House Abuja.

Prime Minister Theresa May who is on a three-day trip to Africa, has been to South Africa, Kenya, and will in the next hour, be in Nigeria where she will roundup her historic trip to the major economies in Africa.

Theresa May who while on her Africa tour, had said there is a huge demand around the world for British goods and services, will be looking to strike the right deal with the largest economy and population in Africa, and also the largest market in the continent.

After pledging the sum of £4billion to the continent, Theresa May will be looking to find the right market and a market that has the right numbers for the British goods and services she desperately needs a market for.
Nigeria presents all the opportunities, and it will be in the interest of Theresa May and Britain to invest a huge chunk of that £4billion in Nigeria, on security and infrastructure for their investment to strive, and the country presents the best returns on investment more than any African country.

State House while making the announcement on Theresa May’s visit a few hours ago, took to their social media page to say:

This afternoon President Muhammadu Buhari will welcome UK Prime Minister Theresa May to the State House, Abuja. The two leaders will hold discussions, as well as sign vital defence and economic agreements involving Nigeria and the UK.
