ECOWAS, AU, UN caution on the rejection of election results

A blind Corper serving in Katsina was a few days ago, promised that his medical bills will be taken care of by President Muhammadu Buhari during his visit to serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Daura, and the President has since come under attack from Atiku Abubakar who tasked him on the provision of good public healthcare rather than making political gestures.

The former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who is of the opposition party of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) saw the gesture towards the blind Corper from President Muhammadu Buhari as more of a political move, than that that came from the heart.

He said the President agreeing to pay the medical bills of a blind Corper five months to the general elections calls for more questions, saying if the President had invested public funds into the public healthcare sector in the country, there will not be any need to be paying medical bills for a blind Corper. He said.

This will not be the first time former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will be throwing shades at President Muhammadu Buhari, as just a few days ago, when President Buhari was pictured walking about 800miles in his hometown in Daura, in what many saw as him making a political statement towards his alleged opponents and opposition that he is fit and ready, contrary to public opinion that he was not fit to run of office in 2019.

Seeing this, the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar took to his social media page to put up a photo of himself in a gym telling the President to work and stop walking.

Atiku Abubakar said, he engages in jogging and other exercises regularly, but will not ask Nigerians to vote for him base on that, but rather he will ask Nigerians to vote for him because he works and not walk.
Since then, the #workandnotwalk has been trending amongst the PDP faithful and some few other Nigerians who are not a fan of the President.

As if that of work-and-not-work was not enough, Atiku Abubakar clearly waiting to hit the President again where it hurt, put up a tweet, and in his open statement, thanked the President for the kind gesture towards the blind Corper, then went further to attack him on healthcare and his constant trip to London for a medical checkup. He said:
“I commend President Muhammadu Buhari for paying medical bills of a blind corps member 5 months to the 2019 election, but I remind him that if he had invested the public funds he spends on his London medicals on public healthcare, he wouldn’t need to do this.”

The said blind Corper is a 28-year old Okenala Ahmed who is presently serving in Daura the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari.
