The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported 681 new cases of the novel coronavirus, which is the highest recorded cases in a single day since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
NCDC in its daily update on Thursday 11th June 2020, reported that the 681 new cases recorded had Lagos state with the highest number of positive cases. The reports showed that Lagos had 345 positive new cases from the 681 new cases reported by the specialist centre on Thursday.
The NCDC put the national tally at 14,554, and the total number of discharged patients at 4,494 and death toll at 387, as at Thursday 11th June 2020.
The new cases were recorded in 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The distribution of these numbers, shows the following:
