
Nigerian Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki who alongside some of his colleagues are in Russia on an official visit, yesterday was given the honour to lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldiers in Russia, in memory of soldiers killed in the second world war, which Russia was a major actor for peace.
The Senate President who shared the photos of the ceremony on his social media page said, there is a need for the world to preach and live in peace, as those that died in those wars made the ultimate sacrifice in their quest to defend their respective nations. He said the world must be grateful for their sacrifice. He said:

As we push for peace around the world, we must always remember to be grateful for the sacrifice of servicemen and women around the world , who in their pursuit of peace and justice, defend their respective nations.
