PHOTO: “Ras Kimono Was Never A Praise Singer To The Establishment. His Songs Were For Political Awakening” Shehu Sani

The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani has paid his tribute to late Reggae musician Ras Kimono on his social media page.

The Senator who also understand the struggle of fighting for freedom being someone that has also been in the democray struggle in Nigeria during the military days, identified with the late Ras-Kimono and his struggles for a better Nigerian. He  said the late Reggae legend during his life time was a social activist who used his songs to preach against those in power for the betterment of the ordinary Nigerian.

The Senator went further to say that the late Ras-kimono represented the people through his music, which he used to reawaken the political consciousness in the ordinary Nigerian, as he never sang to praise those in power unlike what is happening now.

Taking to his page, the Senator had this tribute to pay:
