The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has rubbished the 77-man Committee set up by the All Progressives Congress for their Gubernatorial candidate and former Governor, Dr Fayemi in the forthcoming July 14th 2018 election in the State.
The Committe according to Governor Fayose, is like the Biblical Army of the Philistines that will always crumble against the Israelites.
The Ekiti Gubernatorial election which is bid to hold on July 14th, 2018, will see Governor Fayose’s anointed candidate and Deputy Governor, Professor Kolapo Olusola battling it out with the immediate past Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi. While Professor Kolapo is of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Kayode Fayemi is of the All Progressives Congress and flag bearer for the election.
The Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose who have been vocal and a huge critic of the ruling party and President Muhammadu Buhari, immediately after APC released their 77-man list, took to his social media page to say this:
I saw APC’s gathering of 77 for Ekiti election,which I regard as the Biblical Army of the Philistines that will always crumble against the Israelites.APC didn’t set up 77-man committee on economic recovery, herdsmen killings & hunger,it is Ekiti that is more important to them.
Unfortunately for the APC, their army of occupation is facing a Peter The Rock, they will be roundly defeated and the more they gather, the sweeter their defeat. Having spent over N3bn on mere primary election, they have earmarked over N25bn on Ekiti election, they will fail
