The Governor of Lagos state, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has attributed the Peace and tranquillity being enjoyed in Lagos state, is as a result of the continued prayers from the from religious bodies in the state, especially from the churches.
The governor who described the state as very fortunate of having people of diverse faith, praised both Christians and Muslims and other beliefs for their prayers as the state continues to grow in a peaceful atmosphere.
The governor said this while at the sending off ceremony held for the Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Dr.Ademowo, he said the immense contributions from the church has really helped the state in terms of peace. He said:

We have received immense support and prayers from the Church. This has contributed immensely to the peace and tranquillity being enjoyed in our State with people of diverse faiths living in harmony and mutual understanding.
The 3rd Session of the 33rd Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Lagos held today. On behalf of the government of Lagos State and my family, I congratulate the out-going Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Dr.Ademowo, I wish him fruitful and happy life in retirement.
