Children And Women Commissioner Visits Abused Kids

The Commissioner For Children and Women Affairs in Anambra State, Lady Ndidi Mezue has visited the three molested and abused children at 3-3, Nkwele-Ezunaka to ascertain their health condition.

The children were said to have been abducted by one Rejoice Raymond and others, March last year through a child trafficking syndicate.

The suspects was arrested on 19th February 2021 by Police Operatives at 3-3 Police Division,Nkwele-Ezunaka following intelligence report.

Commissioner For Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi who visited the kids with items including noddles, biscuits, beverages, toiletries, said the children will be transferred to Awka so as to continue to use the Ministry’s facilities adding that government would sustain regular checks on them.

Lady Ndidi earlier met with the Divisional Police Officer,Mr Bawa Sale.

The Medical Doctor who is taking care of the children said their condition is very severe as they received a high degree of injuries but thanked God they are responding to treatment.

One of the children, Ifechukwu revealed that their abductor were beating them with glass, nails, cutlass and also starve them of food.
