President Trump has made good his campaign promise, as he pulls the United State out of the Iran Nuclear deal. This the President announced via his twitter handle just a few hours ago, while also signing new sanctions on the oil-producing state.
The President who has kicked against the deal, calling it a ‘bad deal’ or better still a “defective deal” as entered into by the former US President Obama. Trump insists that there was a need to squeeze the Iranian Government in order for them to come back to the table for a renegotiation of a new deal.
Trump while announcing the pullout said the world now knows the US does not make empty threats. But other key members in the deal such as France, United Kingdom and Germany have all expressed their regrets on the decision of Donald Trump.
His predecessor, Obama who brokered the deal, calls Trump’s decision the “biggest mistake”.
Isreal and Saudi Arabia are supporting the move by Trump as they wait to see what sanctions are placed on Iran, as there have been conflicts between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and obviously, Isreal.
Meanwhile, Iranian leader has Hassan Rouhani has threatened to start Nuclear enrichment tonight, while saying Iran is more united than before.
