I feel the President making that headline statement, was throwing a shade at someone or his political opponents… lol. But again, from what we have seen so far from the President and what he stands and known for, one will not be out of point to say  he is saying the facts…hopefully my ancestors agrees with me on this one…lol

Anyways, so the President, President Muhammadu Buhari just like every other All Progressives Congress members, was at his ward in far away Katsina State for the all-important party congress at the ward level, which is a build-up to the National Congress, praised the eventual outcome.

The President who left Abuja yesterday (Friday) for the ward Congress in Sarkin Yara, Daura, addressed party members in his ward especially the newly elected officials to always discharge their duty with due diligent. He asked them to always put God first in any decision they are making. But also warned that in whatever they do, it should be according to the APC party’s constitution.

It was a massive turnout and peaceful Congress at Katsina, as both the ward chairman of the party, and other executives were all returned unopposed, through a voice vote.

President Buhari also in his address to the new executives and other party members at the Congress, said they know what he stands for and he will never do anything that will damage his reputation as a man of honesty and integrity.  He warned that his aim for joining politics was never because he wanted to amass wealth or engage in some ungodly act all in the name of politics, but to serve Nigerians and Nigeria. He was quoted as saying:

I am not in politics for fun, frivolity or to amass wealth, I have always been driven by a deep sense of commitment to make a difference to the lives of our people
